Northland Journal Covers & Logo

Hello!  Been a while since I last posted anything, sorry about that!  Here are two more covers that I have done for the Northland Journal, and also the logo I did as well.

The Logo went through several ideas, from having a maple leaf, to a quill and ink bottle.  But in the end we decided something simple worked the best and the mountains add just a hint of the Vermont flair that we were looking for.  The plan is to use the logo on various things like t-shirts, mugs, etc.

Northland Journal Cover

Here is the cover I did for the October issue of Vermont's Northland Journal, a local magazine that focuses on the unique history of the Northeast Kingdom.  I have been asked to continue to do the covers, so expect more of these!

Book Cover

A friend of mine runs the Northland Journal magazine, which is a local history newsletter that covers the Northeast Kingdom here in Vermont.  He is currently writing a book that will explore the history of Jay Peak the ski mountain.  He asked me to help with the book cover, and here is the first draft that we have so far.  The first was done as a landscape, but I think the book will end up in portrait form.  The idea was to show a melding of the old and new, he has a lot of great old pictures from the early days when the mountain was first being built.
