Some New Designs

Hello, here are some more t-shirt designs!

The first one is inspired by Britney Spears' song 3, and the other two are from the Real Housewives of Atlanta. I will make some for the rest of the housewives so everyone can have a shirt for the favorite one. You can check them out HERE.

Darken Rahl

Darken Rahl from The Legend of the Seeker. The tv version is quite different than the book version. In the book Rahl is blond and wears white robes, as the villain of the series it might have been cool to see him look not so sinister for the tv series. He is played be Craig Parker who you might remember as Haldir from the Lord of the Rings movies.

A Mood Board

This is a mood board. We had to make one for class. You pick 16 colors that you feel match you well, then three of your best designs, that show who you are as a designer. And then 10 adjectives that describe you, and images that also represent you. It was fun making it, you all should try one too!

If You Were A Superhero....

If you were a superhero what powers would you have? I know that I would want to fly, and maybe have some kind of telekinetic thing going on too. I drew this in Illustrator, me as one of the X-Men. I have with me my two favorite mutants, Gambit and Storm. I like my costume, though I hardly have the body to pull that off, lol. I experimented a lot with color and gradients. The lightning and cards in Gambits hands were tricky to do, I had to play around to get the glowing effect. Well sounds like Prof. X is calling us, time to go save the world! ;oP

High Roller, Big Baller

We got quite a bit of snow last night, and we're supposed to get even more tonight. Gotta love Vermont! I had a pretty good weekend, we had two house parties for Tim's campaign, and our friend Julie was gracious enough to hold them both at her house. This campaign thing is pretty fun. Also Saturday night we went to a Fish and Game dinner, that was interesting, a lot of flannel and mystery meat. I did this illustration just for fun again, oh how nice it would be to have lots of money!

California Dreaming

It was a cold and snowy day, made me wish I was somewhere warm, like California. I've never been, but one day I want to go. I made this today, to try and get that warm summer feeling back again. And can you guess who it is in the picture? I think I am getting addicted to drawing in Illustrator, I find it relaxing and fun.

Do You Believe?

Hey there, today was my last day in my Corporate Identity class. Tomorrow I will start advanced computer graphics, I am pretty excited for it and hope that I will learn some new things. Since I had some free time tonight I did this picture of Cher. I'm liking Illustrator more and more every time I play around in it. I remember when I got her Believe album, way back when, those were good times. It was the start of a love affair that will stay with me forever! And its snowing outside, winter still has some teeth!

How Electrifying

Howdy! Just got back from doing the Penguin Plunge, it wasn't as bad as I thought it would. It was a lot of fun and I got a nice hat from it! I've been working on my final project for my Corporate Identity class. We had to find a local small business and design a new logo for them. I asked Tim's dad, who owns Ray's Electric. It took a while to come up with one that wasn't your typical electrical logo. I used the electrical symbol for power in the R, and then mirrored the outlet shape in the middle. We also had to make illustrations demonstrating how the logo may be used in various products.

Dancing in the Desert

Hello, I've been watching the inauguration celebrations and it was very exciting. Though I didn't like Michele Obama's dress, lol. This is something I did in my Digital Illustration class, we had to select a short story and create three spot illustrations to go along with it. I choose a story called Desert Wind by the fabulous Neil Gaiman, from his book, Smoke and Mirrors. If you didn't know I am a big fan of Neil Gaiman, he has a lot of great books out there and I highly reccomend reading any of them. I did the illustrations in Illustrator, and think I captured some of the imagery in the story well. Let me know what you think!

Growing Ice-Cream

This is my final project done for my Digital Image Manipulation class. We were given a fictional client, Jolly Humor, which was an ice-cream company. We had to design an new logo, and a new ad that would represent a new marketing and image makeover for the company. The idea of ice-cream growing out of the ground came to mind, and I went through several ideas from having cones growing out of stems to flowers blooming scoops of ice-cream. I was happy with the logo, I took an image of a cone, and attached a rose growing out of it. I think it worked with the all natural organic theme. I designed the pint container in Illustrator, and then used Photoshop to merge the images all together. I think it came out well, and would be a perfect summer time ad.
