(This is) A Song for the Lonley

In anticipation of Cher's new album due within the next few months (hopefully!), I was feeling nostalgic for the good old days of Living Proof, and decided to do a design from "Song for the Lonely"

This album is one of my favorites of all time, and takes me back to the high school days.  The above is a banner I made combining two pictures from the video, and then I used the design of the dragons from the CD packaging, I always thought that the circle of dragon heads would be a cool tattoo design.

And I turned that banner into a t-shirt design, because this is something I would totally wear! And you can find it as a sticker and print HERE

Northland Journal Covers & Logo

Hello!  Been a while since I last posted anything, sorry about that!  Here are two more covers that I have done for the Northland Journal, and also the logo I did as well.

The Logo went through several ideas, from having a maple leaf, to a quill and ink bottle.  But in the end we decided something simple worked the best and the mountains add just a hint of the Vermont flair that we were looking for.  The plan is to use the logo on various things like t-shirts, mugs, etc.

Northland Journal Cover

Here is the cover I did for the October issue of Vermont's Northland Journal, a local magazine that focuses on the unique history of the Northeast Kingdom.  I have been asked to continue to do the covers, so expect more of these!

Every Single Night

In honor of Fiona Apple's new album, "The Idler Wheel Is Wiser Than The Driver of the Screw And Whipping Cords Will Serve You More Than Ropes Will Ever Do." Which drops June 19th, (so excited!!!) I made this t-shirt design inspired by her new music video for her lead single "Every Single Night".

You can see the shirt in my Red Bubble store.

And check out the awesome video for the song below!

de la Bruere for State Representative

This year there are two seats opening for State Representative in the district I live in.  Tim is going to run, and we are gearing up to start the campaign.  The election will be in November, so this summer will be busy!  Here is the logo I made for him,  and check out his FB Page to keep up to date with the campaign.

Shops at the EastSide

As you know I have been doing work for the EastSide Restaurant, where I also work in the gift shop.  There are really three stores there, Giftwrecked the shop, the Bakery, and the Clothing Boutique.  I did a new logo for the Shops at the EastSide, and also made a Facebook Page, where you can keep in touch with specials and sales.

Included in the shops is a Bridal Boutique and Prom Dress / Tuxedo Rentals.  Here are some of the ads and posters I have been doing to promote the business.

Medication Reconciliation Poster

This is a poster that I did for friends who work at the local hospital.  They had a presentation in Paris to go to, and needed a handout and display poster to present their topic with.

And here they are with the poster on display.

Catching Up!

Whoops, sorry to have been MIA for a while, here are a few things that I have done since last time I posted,

A new winter lunch menu for The Eastside:

And also a new kid's menu:

I have also been working on a poster for some friend's who work at the hospital.  They are going to a presentation in France and need a poster display for their topic of Medication Reconciliation.  It's just about done and I'll show it when it is finalized.  I also just started a new painting, this is where I am so far, lol.  Hopefully I'll decide what I am going to do with it soon!

Being Human T-Shirts

Today I made three t-shirt designs inspired by the television show Being Human, (both the U.K. version and the U.S. version).  The show is about three roommates, a vampire, werewolf and a ghost, who try to fit in with the normal human world as much as best they can.  I started watching the U.K. show first since that is the original, but I have to say that I am liking the American version a lot, it's taking the original stories and making it's own variations of them.

Anyways, here are the designs I did, one for each of the characters, they are available as t-shirts, hoodies, long sleeve shirts, and then also as little stickers.

I also have them in my Skreened Shop

Dancing Sail Bridal Ad

This is an ad I did for the Dancing Sail Banquet Room at the EastSide Restaurant.  It will be in a Bridal Supplement that one of the local papers puts out every year.  It really is a beautiful location for any kind of party, I had my wedding here and it was a wonderful experience!

Eastside Buffet Ad

Here is an ad I did for the restaurant advertising the Sunday brunch buffet.  I used the same style as the new menu to keep things cohesive, we are going to be changing the colors and brand identity of the restaurant this year.

Eastside Winter Menu

Happy 2012 everyone!!!  It's hard to believe that we're at the end of the Mayan calendar already.  Sorry I haven't been updating as much.  But my new years resolution is to update this blog more.  One of the projects that I was working on last month was a new menu for the Eastside Restaurant.  So here is the winter menu preview.
